From our friends at Hard Light Cinema, come and enjoy this free German horror film on the night before Halloween on the big screen at the University of Richmond!

Nosferatu the Vampyre, a Dracula riff that got its beginnings in Weimar Germany, has been adapted multiple times, most recently by horror great Robert Eggers in 2024. Here, in the 1979 adaptation, we watch beauty blended with destruction as plagues and dreams ravage the silver screen in an arthouse horror must-see. Klaus Kinski, of Aguirre and Fitzcarraldo fame, scream queen Isabelle Adjani, from Possession and The Tenant, and Werner Herzog, the prolific and effective master of fiction and documentary, team up for this beloved classic.

You may have seen the story before, but if you haven’t seen this dreary Gothic iteration, knock out that blind spot and join us at 7PM on October 30th for a spooky early Halloween showing of this vampire romp.

Because this screening will be on the University of Richmond campus, parking will be a bit different than our usual screenings. We encourage parking at the Ryland Circle on campus. There will be a limited number of free visitor's passes that we'll be handing out in the parking lot, but we encourage you to fill out this form and get your own free pass mailed to you, especially since it'll work at all of our University of Richmond screenings this semester! See y'all there!
