This month we're skipping the formal talk and turning the floor over to you. Bring your laptop, your homelab box, your Pi cluster, or just bring yourself and talk about what you run at home.

The idea is simple: tell us about your setup and, more importantly, why. Why that distro? Why that desktop environment? Why that specific machine? Whether you've spent six months tuning a tiling window manager config or you grabbed a refurbished ThinkPad off Newegg and installed the same LTS release you've been on for years, we want to hear the reasoning. Five minutes or twenty — whatever you've got.

To kick things off, I'll walk through my refurbished Lenovo L15: what I paid, the RAM situation, how the buying experience went, and why it matters that Lenovo ships a Linux version of that exact hardware. I'll also make my case for staying on Ubuntu 24.04 instead of chasing 26.04.

A few notes: presenting is completely optional — plenty of people just come to listen, and that's a great way to spend the morning. Running a Mac or a Windows box? Bring it. We're curious about that too, and honestly the comparisons make for better conversation.

We meet the second Saturday of every month at ECPI. There are snacks and coffee, and a few of us head to brunch nearby afterward.
