Come along to a different type of event in a different location. You never know who you might meet, as there will be plenty of people outside of the meetup. Ever listened and danced to vinyl? Well, here's your chance. The DJ will also play vinyl brought in by attendees as well.
Come along with the right attitude, please. My opinion is that if you come specifically with the intention of meeting someone special, you might end up disappointed. Come with the intention of genuinely enjoying the event regardless. Then, either way, you will leave the event happily and enjoy it better.
If you're not looking for someone (like me) and just want to mingle and enjoy the evening, that's of course perfectly fine.
