Please join me in Barnes for the annual Barnes Fair.
Once again Barnes Green will be filled with a great selection of shopping and entertainments.
There will be live music from local groups and choirs on the Bandstand from 10am and community dance, tai chi and ballet groups on the Events Stage.
Food from a selection of Barnes’ local restaurants is also on offer -these include The Crossing, Rick Stein, Barnes, The Brown Dog, Postbox and Eli & Dhani – and of course the Barnes Community Association will be serving up it’s famous Pimm’s.
M&S and Sainsbury's are along the small high street for food and drinks too.
We'll choose a spot to use as our base, and come and go as we please. I'm suggesting midday which will hopefully be before the hoards of people arrive. Be prepared for large crowds if you arrive later.
Nearest train stations are Barnes Bridge and Barnes. 533 bus from Hammersmith. 419 bus from Richmond.
Do not sign up then not show up - I'll mark you as a no-show.
