Summer Solstice Walk and Sunset Drinks by Riverside

Hi!

To mark Summer Solstice on Saturday 20th June, I am planning on doing my annual solstice event to enjoy the longest day of the year in nature!

We will start at the Surbiton riverside by Ravens Ait island, walk along the riverside from Surbiton to Kingston bridge, cross the bridge to Home park, walk around the park in a circular walk and back via the bridge to Canbury Gardens approx 4 miles, 2 hours at a leisurely pace, see itinery below).

At the end of the walk, we can take in the beautiful views of the sun setting on solstice with a relaxing drink. BYO drinks or grab a takeaway drink from the pub Boaters Inn Ia few minutes away. After the sun sets we can go for a drink at Boaters in the riverside garden.

This year as Soltice falls Sat/Sun we are thinking of some additional after parties!! But we can play by ear and gauge interest on the night ☺️

Feel free to dress in soltice appropriate dress if you would like!

Please note this is a very informal event… we will walk in a leisurely way and enjoy socialising, and the views and ambience of solstice!☀️
