This is a last minute fun thing to photograph on New Year's Day. You heard it right. Each year on New Year's Day, Cone people parade down Cary Street wishing everyone good fortunes for the new year. It's silly and the cones are very creative and hilarious. All ages participate. They do a bit of a dance at the 7-11. Fun times on New Year's Day! This is a unique Richmond tradition that has really grown in recent years and had gotten national recognition. Worth checking out. It starts at noon at the Aquarian Bookshop in the Ellwood Thomson grocery parking lot. Come on out!
