lunch at Londou Fish Taverna, walk to Korinthos beach

i have lived most of my life in the USA in the Chicago area...

i am happy there, with family and friends, and i have a meetup site, Rick's Hiking and Fun Group https://www.meetup.com/Ricks-Hiking-Fun-Group/ .

but recently my daughter, Kim, has moved to Korinthos, Greece, and since i can't afford to come from Chicago to Greece too many times, i expect i will be making some long visits to her, so i wanted to see if i could meet some friendly people to spend some time with there.

Greece looks like a wonderful place to explore and enjoy--while our Midwest American beaches are a few tens of kilometers, yours are a few hundreds, or more: while our pioneer sites are a couple hundred years old, your ancient sites are a couple thousand, or more: while our swimming season is about 5 months a year at most, yours (for someone accustomed to swimming in our northern lakes) is probably 9 or 10.

people from the American Midwest, where i live, are known for being welcoming and friendly to strangers, and i've heard that Greek people are too, so i'm very excited to visit, and hope to meet some friendly folks to have fun with.

i will be visiting Korinthos for the second half of September, and have hoped to meet some of the people who responded to my meetup group then.
