RICOH THETA Mini-Meetup at Westfield Valley Fair, Starbucks

I'm meeting with noted 360 photographer Sam Rhon at Westfield Valley Fair Starbucks to exchange ideas about 360 photography and technology. Feel free to drop by in person and hangout with us. The THETA X recently came out. Sam and I both have the new camera. I will bring mine for people to check out as well as a laptop so we can take a look at the picts. The THETA X takes 11K still images and 5.7K video @ 30fps. It can take 8K video at 10fps for frame extraction or 4K video at 60fps for motion shots. The THETA X has a big touchscreen, removable battery, removable SD Card, functional USB port that works with adapters such as Ethernet. The camera can work without a battery and be powered by the USB port alone.

There is no presentation. We are just meeting up for coffee and conversation. We do not have any sponsorship or refreshments for this event. Just buy a cup a coffee and pull up a chair.

If you are a developer, full API documentation is available now for the WebAPI, USB API, and Plug-in API. The camera runs Android internally and you can build your own apps that run inside the camera and use the touchscreen.
