RIVER SCENE: Celebrating Brisbane one event at a time!

Dear RIVER SCENE
I wanted to give you all plenty of notice that River Scene will be wrapping up at the end of October 2026, and our October event at Felons will be our final get-together.
It’s been wonderful to see the friendships, conversations and connections that have grown through River Scene.
I’m so pleased the group has brought people together who might otherwise never have met.
Before River Scene finishes, I’d really encourage everyone to swap mobile numbers and contact details with the people you’ve enjoyed getting to know. There’s absolutely no reason for those friendships to end just because the Meetup group is coming to a close.
Brisbane also has a fantastic range of other Meetup groups, so I’d encourage everyone to have a look around and join some other groups that appeal to you. There are plenty of opportunities to keep getting out, meeting people and enjoying Brisbane’s social scene.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who has come along, supported River Scene and helped make the events so enjoyable. I’ve loved seeing people connect, laugh and form genuine friendships.
We still have some time together before we finish, so I hope to see plenty of you at our remaining events — and particularly for our final River Scene gathering in October.
