Randi Kruger and Capital City Kayak's official calendar. We offer both free and paid events and lessons.
Randi's core group of coaches and mentors offer classes for kids and adults. Not finding the exact class you are looking for? Consider scheduling a private lesson. These are suitable for kids in groups of two to four, or two kids and two parents. Private lessons are also useful for adults needing specific skill refinement, and roll coaching.
We can provide loaner gear and kayaks with any lesson.

Please join Randi Kruger, ACA Coastal Level 3 Instructor Trainer, for an Intro to Kayaking Level 1 & Essentials of Kayak Touring Level 2 Instructor Development Workshop. The Exam portion will be in July.
***CPA members will be given preference, as well as receive a deep discount.
This class will run Friday to Sunday, 0830-5pm. Friday will be an L2 assessment day. We will run through the skills on the assessment, helping candidates understand what is required to issue an assessment themselves.
This event will be held on the beautiful St Mary's River, adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River. There's a wicked good restaurant on the grounds.
Tent sites available, as well as cabins. Some tent sites have water & electric. Bathhouse is nice, just a little stroll through the campground.
Arrive Thursday and stay through Sunday night, or go home Sunday evening after 5 pm when class ends.

Dennis Point Marina & CampgroundCoaches will be in trailer sites "in the field" near the tent sites. Some academics requiring power will be held in this area.
The water will be in the 60s (F). We will be wet so please plan according to your personal comfort factors. I rarely need a dry suit in the 60s, for example. In addition to your camping equipment, kayak and gear, please consider bringing a yoga mat for morning stretching.
The Exam (ICE) will occur July 20-21 in Accokeek Maryland. Updates are available at both events for current L2s, contact Randi for more info.
