R Ladies is back after a hiatus and we are meeting in person at Solid State Depot in Boulder! We would love to see you all, get back together, socialize, and listen to Hilary's talk: sparklyr - A Simple Guide.
Ex-academic and current corporate nerd-for-hire Hilary Traut will provide a step-by-step guide to understanding Apache Spark in R. She'll tackle such existential questions as:
- What is Spark? What is it good for?
- When is Spark the tool for me?
- How to "spark" a connection to R
- Using dplyr and friends to simplify your spark modeling pipeline
Bring a laptop to follow along in real time, or just yourself to sit back and enjoy the presentation. Live coding mishaps practically guaranteed!
