15th Annual Symposium for Women and Gender Minorities in Math (cross-posting)

Details
R-Ladies Irvine is very excited to cross-post this Symposium for Women and Gender Minorities in Mathematics in Southern California. The symposia serves to nurture relationships between mathematicians in Southern California and provide a framework for mentoring. These relationships can facilitate mathematicians branching into new areas of mathematics, an exploration of the variety of ways of contributing mathematically to society and the profession, and the maintenance of a healthy balanced life. The symposia can be particularly valuable for junior faculty planting roots in Southern California.
You are invited to come and, if you like, give a talk! We would especially like to encourage women and gender non-conforming mathematicians. Talks should be 15 minutes long. Many people may want to give a talk on results they have already obtained, but expository talks describing a problem of interest, and interesting things you are trying in your classrooms are also welcome. In particular, graduate students are encouraged to give a talk even if they don't yet have their own results.
The keynote speaker will be Alissa Crans from Loyola Marymount University. There will be a career panel and plenty of opportunities to chat and get to know each other.
The symposium is free and meals will be provided but participants are asked to register. For more information and to register, please go to the website:
