November 2018 Tutorial: R Markdown and Data Visualization with ggplot2
Hi everyone! Per your requests, we're going to have a series of Tidyverse tutorials, starting with this one on ggplot2 and R Markdown! Please bring your laptops and have R, RStudio, and the tidyverse package (all open-source and free) installed and working. However, if you're having issues with any of these, don't worry! We're all here to help. :) To Install R: https://cran.r-project.org/ To Install RStudio: https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/ To Install the Tidyverse Package: https://www.tidyverse.org/ Schedule: 6:30pm - 7:00pm: Welcome and Networking 7:00pm - 8:15pm: Announcements and Tutorial 8:15pm - 8:30pm: Networking, Group Picture, and Cleanup Map of UC Irvine: https://communications.uci.edu/documents/pdf/UCI_16_map_campus.pdf Parking Map: https://communications.uci.edu/documents/pdf/UCI_12_map_vis_pkg.pdf Note: you’ll have to pay for hourly parking if you park in any of these lots (or you’ll risk a ticket). Healthy snacks will be provided. :) Free tidyverse hex stickers will also be given out. Slides will be sent out and posted on our GitHub after the meeting.
