Data streaming with Apache Flink

Details
Ververica is the new name of data Artisans, the company founded in 2014 by the original creators of Apache Flink®. with headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
They started Data Artisans (now Ververica) because they saw the need for a large-scale data processing technology that is open source and at the same time properly rooted in long-tested principles and architectures from the database and distributed systems fields.
From the very beginning, they developed Apache Flink® in the open source, and they witnessed and led Flink’s rapid community growth and industry adoption.
The meetup will be about Stateful Stream Processing
The volume of data generated in the world continues to grow steadily. The ability to process these in real time not only opens up new applications but often becomes a necessity to maintain a competitive edge. We will discuss how the horizontally scalable Stateful Stream Processing responds to these new demands and why it can be considered an evolution of the Batch Processing approach. We will also look at the technical complexities involved in building such distributed systems and how they have been resolved in Apache Flink.
Speaker: Alexander Fedulov, Solutions Architect at Ververica
Alexander Fedulov is a Solutions Architect at Ververica (formerly data Artisans). He is advising customers with application design, system integration and performance tuning. Prior to joining Ververica, Alexander worked as a developer and consultant in a variety of companies based in Berlin. He has a Masters Degree (M.Sc.) from the Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH).
Event is totally free to attend, but RSVP is required.
