Intro to Shiny for interactive graphics and data visualization

Details

Join us on Feb. 11th as Emma Smith introduces us to Shiny.

Tired of presenting your research using the same old boring tables and figures? Shiny is a powerful R package that allows you to create interactive applications ranging from infographics and maps to business dashboards. This workshop will start by providing a walkthrough of the basic framework of Shiny applications, including the creation of interactive plots and tables. This will be followed by some tips on how to kick your apps up a notch using only one or two lines of code thanks to libraries such as shinyWidgets, shinydashboard, and plotly. Resources will be provided for those interested in creating more advanced dashboards or making their Shiny creations available online.
