My Stat1 Project With RStudio

"My Stat1 Project with RStudio" is designed to share beginners' experiences in using RStudio. Iman Al-Hasani, a lecturer at the department of statistics at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and co-organizer of R-Ladies Muscat introduced RStudio for an introductory Statistics course. She asked students to conduct group-based mini projects and analyze data in RStudio.

In this meeting, groups of her students are going to share their experiences in basic data analysis using RStudio. The objective of this meet-up is to sensitize the public about role of stat and RStudio in research promotion.

Four projects will be presented and are titled as follows :

• Cancer around the world.
• The relation between the hours spent on Social Media and universities students GPA during Fall 2020.
• Study the impact of the Corona crisis on small shops.
• The relation between communication companies' packages and promotional advertisements.

This meeting is organized jointly with the Data Science Analysis Lab (DSAL) and the Statistics Students Group (Stat Group) in SQU.
