The goal of this workshop is to provide a hands-on introduction on how to display your data onto relevant geographic locations in a map (e.g. continent, state) using the ggplot2 package in R. Attendees will learn to create a mapped visualization of current up-to-date vaccination rates across states in the US.

Attendees with all skill levels are welcome to attend! We recommend that participants actively follow along on their computers. This will require having R and RStudio installed and basic knowledge of R commands and the RStudio IDE (https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/). Several packages are required. Please install the following packages ahead of time or sign up for an RStudio Cloud account (https://login.rstudio.cloud/register). Packages that will be used: "tidyverse", "ggplot2", "reader", "maps", "viridis", "choroplethr", and "choroplethrMaps".
