Choices and challenges in restoring a {renv} project

The {renv} package helps you create reproducible environments for your R projects. The distinction here between “helps you create” vs “creates” is important. {renv} provides a framework for project specific package documentation and installation, but it is up to the user to make decisions on when and how to maintain the project when updating R or specific packages. In this meet-up, we will live demo an attempt to restore an older {renv} project and discuss the choices and challenges {renv} users confront.
