Speaker Bio - Melissa Lee (she/her)
Melissa Lee is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Statistics at the University of British Columbia. She teaches and develops curriculum for undergraduate statistics and data science courses. Her work focuses on student-centered approaches to teaching, developing and assessing open educational resources, and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Workshop details
This workshop will provide a friendly introduction to data manipulation and visualization using the Tidyverse package in R. This workshop is suitable for those who have some experience in R and know how to read in data, but no experience with Tidyverse is required. Participants should install Tidyverse before the workshop: `install.packages("tidyverse")`.
