We are finally having Rladies meetups in person again! For this session we will be creating Tidy Tuesday plots together (https://github.com/rfordatascience/tidytuesday). Tidy Tuesday is an ongoing project by the R4DS Online Learning Community where a new dataset is posted each week aimed at helping learners practice their wrangling and visualization skills.

Don’t know where to start? During the start of the meeting, we will have a short tutorial and write some code together to get your plots started. We also included some resources below to help provide some inspiration!

Come out and meet some R-Ladies from Vancouver and try out some new data visualization skills with us!

Workshop details:
Date and time: April 20 2023, doors at 5:45pm, 6:00pm start

IMPORTANT**

  1. Please put your full name and confirm that you are over the age of 18 when you sign up. This is a requirement of the venue and we will need to provide that information to them to get access to the appropriate floor.
  2. Bring your computer and charger (if needed)
  3. If this is your first R-Ladies event, please take a moment to review our R-Ladies Global code of conduct: https://github.com/rladies/.github/blob/master/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md
  4. Who is allowed to attend the workshop?
Everyone is welcome to join us at our events and to be a part of our mission to empower gender minorities with the skills and knowledge to code in one of the top programming languages in data science, which is R.

To fulfill this mission we do ask participants to respect a focus on the encouragement and support for women and non-binary people during our events.
