Read the entire description before you decide to RSVP to this event. If you underestimate the demands; overestimate your knowledge, experience, skills or abilities; and/or come unprepared you put yourself and others at risk. Consider this before you RSVP.

There is one question when you join the waiting list - you need to answer it. There is a 250 character limit so be detailed but brief - if you exceed 250 characters nothing gets saved. Answers don't carry over from one event to another so you have to answer it with each RSVP.

== WHAT WE'RE DOING ==

The plan is to summit one of the trail-less peaks on the New England Hundred Highest List - Vose Spur. We will use Signal Ridge Trail and part of Carrigain Notch Trial to reach the starting point for the bushwack. Once we leave the trail expect thick woods and a steep route.

I AM GOING TO BE VERY SELECTIVE IN WHO I ADD TO THIS HIKE. SIMPLY WANTING TO GO ISN'T ENOUGH. I AM GOING TO GIVE PREFERENCE TO THOSE THAT HAVE HIKED WITH ME BEFORE AND THOSE THAT HAVE BUSHWHACKED BEFORE.

We start, hike, and finish as a group. This trip isn't for you if you are fast and don't want to stay with us, if you want to head off on your own, or if you are slow and expect us to constantly wait for you.

On this trip we will hike about 9 miles total and climb about 2,500 feet all together. About 2 miles and 1,600 feet will be the bushwhack. I have no idea how long it will take - plan on being there all day. This is considered ADVANCED because of pace, distance, elevation gain, and the fact that it's a bushwhack.

Dangerous weather conditions will cancel this event - I will post an update and/or send an email to all confirmed participants.

== WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING ==

IT MAY BE WINTER CONDITIONS FOR THIS HIKE SO YOU MAY NEED SNOWSHOES, SPIKES, AND/OR CRAMPONS. YOU WILL ALSO NEED SAFETY GLASSES/GOGGLES AND LEATHER GLOVES. Be sure to let people know where you're going, who you're going with, and when you expect to be back. Please have emergency contact information and any pertinent medical information in your pack.

== WHERE WE'RE MEETING ==

We will meet at the Signal Ridge Trailhead that is located on the south side pot Sawyer River Road near Bartlett, NH. According to Google Maps this spot is about 172 miles from Boston and it will take about 3 h to drive there. Use this link to customize your own driving directions.
