Revisiting a canceled trip from last year!

For those who enjoy the conquest of lesser-traveled peaks, we have the trip for you. Mount Henry Clay (5,533ft) is not to my knowledge on any list, and having seen it a bunch of times from below and above, I think it would be fun to go stand on top of this tree-less peak.

We'll start on the Jewell Trail, parking same lot as Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail on Base Station Road. Jewell is a moderate climb 3.7 miles to the Gulfside Trail, which we'll use to loop over Mount Clay. Total mileage is 9.5 miles, with about 3,600 feet of elevation gain.

Current forecasts here:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. There is a $5 day use parking fee for that parking lot, unless you have the WMNF annual pass.
2. There is relatively little tree cover for more than half of this trip, so bring appropriate sun protection.
3. There is no water source along this route, so bring sufficient water (2+ Liters) and nutrition

I would encourage carpooling to do so feel free to message me or coordinate that on your own.

*******The System won't let me add location********

Starting point is Ammonoosuc Ravine Trailhead on Base Station Road in Bretton Woods (ie Cog Rail road). parking on right 0.3 miles BELOW the Cog Rail facility.

DO NOT PARK IN THE COG RAIL FACILITY, we won't find you.
