Reading REI — Snowshoeing Basics

Details
While many of our members were able to participate in the recent introduction to winter hiking and backpacking program that was offered by the AMC, some missed out because the program filled-up so quickly.
If you didn't get into the class and are still looking for some information about winter hiking, backpacking, and camping I would suggest that you check out some of the educational programs being offered at many of the local REI stores.
Click here (http://www.rei.com/stores/boston.html) for a complete listing of the programs that are available.
=====
Join the experienced REI staff for a class on the basics of snowshoeing. They will focus on the appropriate selection of gear as well as the basics on what you need and where to go to get started. If you ever thought about getting into snowshoeing, this is a great introduction to the sport!
This program is being offered for free.
While you can use this listing here on the Random Hikers site to communicate with other members who might be going you will need to register directly with REI to participate in the class using the link below.
