I've updated this Meetup.  I have moved the start time up to 3PM on Friday, Aug 30th, which should put us at the campsite no later than 6:30pm.

In response to several questions that I have received about the timing of this backpack:

1.  If you would like to drive up and meet us at the campsite later Friday evening, PLEASE sign up and let me know to expect you to come late on Friday.  If you choose to do this, you take responsibility for your own safety that evening.  If you do not show up at the tent site, we will not be sending anyone out looking for you on the trail.

2.  If you want to drive up on Saturday morning and try to catch up with the group, you are welcome to do so ONLY if you complete the RSVP questions and alert me to the fact that you plan to join us in the morning.  I cannot predict our exact start time on Saturday morning and I cannot promise anyone that we will wait for them.  I expect that we will leave the campsite somewhere around 8am.  You should only do this if you are a very strong hiker and are able to start extremely early - as it is a 4.5 mile walk in to the campsite, followed by a long day on the Presis.

In any case, anyone who joins us is required to sign up and answer the RSVP questions.
