RNPAI ist die offene Community für alle, die an der Schnittstelle von Künstlicher Intelligenz, Physik und Deep Tech arbeiten – oder einfach neugierig darauf sind, was dort gerade entsteht.
Wir haben uns bewusst für die ganze Metropolregion entschieden. Heidelberg, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, Walldorf: Hier sitzen Spitzenforschung, Weltmarktführer, Mittelstand und Startups auf engstem Raum beieinander. Diese Dichte gibt es in Deutschland kaum ein zweites Mal – und genau die wollen wir nutzen.
Bei uns treffen sich Forschende, Entwickler:innen, Ingenieur:innen, Unternehmer:innen, Studierende und Technologieinteressierte, um neue physikalische KI-Technologien zu diskutieren, zu testen und weiterzudenken.

Unsere Formate:
Fachvorträge, offene Diskussionen, Live-Demos zum Anfassen, Forschungsimpulse direkt aus den Laboren, Startup-Pitches und Networking. Tiefe statt Buzzwords – und immer genug Zeit für echte Gespräche.

Unsere Haltung: AI First funktioniert nur mit Human First.
Technologie darf nicht losgelöst vom Menschen gedacht werden. Fortschritt entsteht dort, wo Verantwortung, Bewusstsein und Zusammenarbeit zusammenkommen. Deshalb stehen bei uns klare Werte im Mittelpunkt:

Wir wollen nicht nur diskutieren – wir wollen gestalten. Unser langfristiges Ziel ist der Aufbau eines offenen Robotik- und Physical AI Labs: ein Ort, an dem Menschen und Technologien zusammenkommen, um Ideen greifbar zu machen.

Aktuell stehen wir noch am Anfang und suchen dafür eine passende Location, Partner aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und öffentlichem Sektor sowie finanzielle Unterstützung.

Wir bauen die Gruppe gerade auf – bring dich ein.
RNPAI startet jetzt, und wer früh dabei ist, kann die Gruppe wirklich mitprägen. Wir suchen Menschen, die Lust haben, einen Bereich zu übernehmen und perspektivisch ein kleines Team zu führen: Organisation, LLM, Vision, Events, PR, Hardware und Software. Der Aufwand ist zu Beginn sehr überschaubar – der Gestaltungsspielraum dafür groß.

RNPAI is the open community for everyone working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, physics and deep tech – or simply curious about what is emerging there.
We deliberately chose the whole metropolitan region. Heidelberg, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, Walldorf: world-class research, global market leaders, mid-sized industry and startups, all within a few kilometres of each other. That density is rare in Germany – and it is exactly what we want to put to work.
Our meetups bring together researchers, developers, engineers, founders, students and technology enthusiasts to explore, discuss and advance emerging Physical AI technologies.
Topics include:

We don't just want to talk – we want to build. Our long-term goal is an open robotics and Physical AI lab: a space where people and technology come together to turn ideas into reality.

We are still at an early stage and are looking for a suitable location, partners from academia, industry and the public sector, and funding to make it happen.

RNPAI is just starting, and everyone joining early can genuinely shape it. We are looking for people willing to take ownership of an area and eventually lead a small team: organisation, LLM, vision, events, PR, hardware and software. The workload is very manageable at this stage – the room to shape things is not.
