ABOUT:
Established in November 2024, the Roadcats’ name pays subtle homage to the LGBTQ civil rights history of The Black Cat Tavern in Silver Lake. Hundreds of demonstrators convened at Black Cat on February 11, 1967 to protest LAPD brutality against queer and marginalized communities. This peaceful assembly (which predates the Stonewall uprising of 1969) foreshadowed the waves of gay resistance that would follow for generations to come.
Founded by Long Beach-based rider Wendy Natividad (she/her), Roadcats MC cultivates an inclusive motorcycle and scooter community for LGBTQIA+ riders and allies.
