Roaming Some Downtown POPOS - part 1

The POPOS roams have been popular in the past couple of years, and this time, I am going to split the route into two - one week to cover spaces north of Market, the next Friday to head south of Market, so we can linger more at the nicest places. We do these on Fridays to be able to get into some of the buildings, with apologies for those who can't make Friday roams.

On the 17th, we will meet at Portsmouth Square - the city's oldest public space - and take in the roof gardens and little plazas of the Financial District for this first part.

I saw another event on Meetup that had 70 people signed up to go round POPOS. I don't know how they will all fit into the elevators or some of the smaller spaces. This one is even more restricted than usual, so that we don't overwhelm the roof gardens!
This will be a short route in terms of distance covered, mostly flat, with some staircases, and all paved.

Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.

These roams are offered by donation. They are one way I am able to pay my rent in San Francisco.

Punctuality is always appreciated. Please send a message on the app if you are running a little late. I can usually respond to messages before we get underway, but then I won't be checking my phone. Meetup has now added a "share location" feature, so you will be able to catch up.

I know Meetup is notorious for no-shows and late changes of rsvp. I am not as strict as other organisers, but I do pay attention to those who regularly drop off or no-show, and there will be consequences for recidivists, as it is discourteous for others who would like to attend.
