Roaming the Excelsior

Details
I often end up crossing the Excelsior District on my bike, coming to or from San Bruno Mountain, or other points south. A historic residential neighbourhood with streets famously named after countries and capital cities.
We haven't spent much time there on our roams, and I have devised a new route to incorporate some green space (and some climbing) as well as the street grid. After various tweaks, I thought it best to start at the Balboa Pool, just across that branch of Islais Creek which probably carved the slopes the district is set on.
We will head up to the water tower, and across the western tip of McLaren Park, which we have not yet explored.
There will be some climbing and stairs, and some off-roading, on this route.
