All Tongue Thai'd (from a mouthful of fried lice, er, I mean RICE!)

Details
It's time once again to take over Tom and Annette's kitchen for the betterment of our culinary knowledge. I've had a special request from Annette for Thai food, and how could I deny the owner of the kitchen? Not to mention the fact that I am totally in love with all Asian food. Having said that, you will now understand my menu dilemma . . . I CAN'T NARROW IT DOWN. So here is the deal . . . I am going to give you the list of recipe possibilities:
-
fresh spring rolls-I will show everyone how to roll them up, nothing too in-depth as I have done a spring roll meetup before and it can become time consuming. But, I will give you some good filling combination ideas and a little rolling demo to get you started. This will also serve as a snack to tide us over.
-
Wing bean salad
-
Green papaya salad
-
Sugarcane prawns
-
Pineapple fried rice
-
Some sort of curry
-
Peanut sauce
-
Sweet basil drink (I am really excited about this one, I've had it in NYC but never thought I would be able to recreate it at home. Hopefully I can find the "secret ingredient")
-
Thai iced tea
-
Coconut sticky rice with mango
We won't be making everything, and it is possible that something may show up that's not on the list, but this is the plan as of now.
As usual, all of the fun and food is included in the price. Please bring a tasty beverage to share with the group (6-pack beer, wine, a pitcher of mixed drinks, etc . . . ) and I will bring the fun. Though I will be slightly less amped this time . . . I may have been a little hyper at the last event. I will try to tone it down : )
I think I will have some Activia Coupons and possibly samples for everyone to try. Some of you may have noticed that they are our sponsor (I think it is a temporary sponsorship for a month or two). Exciting! Be on the lookout for an email about Activia and a coupon offer if you "Like" them on Facebook.
I look forward to seeing everyone then!
