- RMCC Road Ride: Boulder - Magnolia - Eldora - Brainard Lake LoopBoulder County Justice Center, Boulder, CO
This is one of my favorite rides in the area. It's not too long, but you'll need to bring your climbing legs!
We'll meet at the lot across from the Boulder Justice Center on the east side of 6th at 7:45 with wheels turning at 8:00. We start by climbing the first 4 miles of Boulder Canyon and then head up Magnolia, which is the steepest paved climb in Boulder County, with some pitches >18%.
At the end of that 4 mile climb the road turns to dirt for about 7 miles. The dirt section is easily rideable on a road bike and is relatively flat. This is the only unpaved section of the ride. Gravel bikes are not necessary. We'll then hit the Peak-to-Peak highway and head up to Eldora. We'll drop into Nederland, stop at the Sinclair station, then climb back up to Ward and Brainard Lake. We'll return to Boulder down Lefthand Canyon and Lee Hill.
The route is 68 miles with 8300 feet of climbing. It is also easy to cut mileage and vert by skipping the climbs up to Eldora or Brainard. Hope to see you there!

While we have our regroup at the Sinclar in Nederland and other more informal ones along the way, this should be considered a drop ride.
Non-dues-paying members are welcome and invited to join us on any ride! After three rides we do require that you join the club: https://www.rockymountaincyclingclub.com/rmcc-membership-application-form
