What we’re about
WHO WE ARE: "Rocky Mountain Ramblers" is dynamic hiking group based in the Colorado Front Range. We are here for fun, fitness, connecting with nature and fellow hikers who like to step out into the wildness, exploring the breathtaking landscapes and challenging trails of the Rocky Mountains. If you are an intermediate hiker who enjoys morning hikes you will fit right in! Most of the hikes are scheduled in summer and fall. Weekends and weekdays. We hike as a group at a moderate pace (2.5-3 mph) and stop for picture opportunities. Iconic summits and some non-technical 14ers are scheduled from time to time. Come join us as we embark on journeys through rugged peaks, alpine meadows, and serene forests!
TEN ESSENTIALS FOR HIKING: Pieces of gear that every hiker should bring out with them on the trail, whether it is a short or multi-day through hike. The article below adapts the essentials to modern gear and technology: https://hikingguy.com/hiking-gear/modern-hiking-essentials/
WEATHER: All the hikes are subject to weather conditions. Great weather source here: https://www.weather.gov/
WAIVER: Participation at your own risk. I am not a professional hiking guide. All participants should make themselves familiar with difficulty of a hike, considering its length and elevation. You are solely responsible for your ability to perform a hike and your own safety. A liability waiver must be signed prior to attending an event. You can print out, sign and bring the copy with you. Alternatively, you can sign a copy at a trailhead.
NO SHOWS: Don’t sign up unless you are going to show up! Change your RSVP to non-going if you are not making it so other hikers can join us. You will be flagged if you cancel the night before or the morning of the hike. 2 no shows constitutes booting from the group.
RULES: Be adventurous, respectful to nature and other hikers on a trail and have fun!
