Seth Andrews is a former evangelical and Christian broadcaster who now hosts The Thinking Atheist…one of the most popular podcasts and online atheist communities in the world. The Thinking Atheist is not a person. It is an icon encouraging all to reject faith and pursue reason and evidence. Seth has authored five books, including his latest offering, “Christianity Made Me Talk Like an Idiot.” He also hosts a second podcast, "True Stories with Seth Andrews." With a mix of humor and heart, Seth Andrews has spoken for audiences large and small in the U.S, Canada, Europe, and Australia about his former faith, the promotion of science and skepticism, the importance of Humanism in this often crazy world, and why we should all pursue a personal relationship with reality.

Phil Zuckerman is a Professor of Sociology and Secular Studies at Pitzer College, California, where he founded the nation's first Secular Studies department. A prominent voice on nonreligion and secularity, he is the author of numerous books, including Society Without God and What It Means to be Moral. His work has been published widely in academic journals and popular outlets like Psychology Today and The Huffington Post.

Dr. Christopher Labos is a Cardiologist with a Master’s degree in Epidemiology. He is a columnist with the Montreal Gazette and Medscape, featured on the Sunday Morning House Call on CJAD radio, and has a regular TV segment with CTV Montreal and CBC Morning Live. He is an Associate with the McGill Office of Science and Society and hosts the award-winning podcast “The Body of Evidence.” He is the author of “Does Coffee Cause Cancer?” published by ECW press, a story about food epidemiology and why food headlines are usually wrong. He occasionally practices as a cardiologist so he can buy groceries. To date no one has asked him for his autograph.

Gretta Vosper trained for ministry at Queen’s Theological College where the foundations for her post-theistic work were laid. There, she learned that the Bible was a human construction. For the better part of my ministry, she applied the extrapolation of that truth to her work within and beyond the church. In 2013, she deconstructed the concept of god in a Sunday sermon; few were surprised. For the most part, her denomination – one I consider to be the most progressive in the world – tolerated her as she continued to irritate it toward publicly stating what so many who lead within it believe: god is a metaphor for goodness and love lived out with compassion and justice, no more and no less. They became less tolerant when she began to use the term “atheist” to describe herself despite the fact that many of my colleagues identify as nontheists, a term which, of course, means exactly the same thing.

Adrienne Hill, a retired math teacher, is a board member of Susan Gerbic’s About Time Project and is an editor for Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia. She regularly reports for The Skeptic Zone Podcast, and has appeared on Skeptoid, Squaring the Strange, and The Thinking Atheist podcasts. Adrienne has worked as a researcher and has appeared in videos on Coleman Watt’s Think This Through YouTube Channel, and contributed articles to The Skeptic (Australia), Skeptical Inquirer, and AIPT Comics.

Janice Selbie is a Registered Professional Counsellor and religious recovery consultant located in the unceded territory of the Syilx people in Kelowna, BC. She deconverted from evangelical Christianity after nearly 4 decades and now has a private practice devoted to helping former believers recover from religious trauma syndrome. In addition to her work as a counsellor and consultant, Janice is the founder and host of CORT - the Conference on Religious Trauma - and she also hosts the Divorcing Religion Podcast.

Dr. Caroline Brookfield is an author, speaker, entrepreneur, veterinarian, and award-winning innovator. She challenges “non creatives” to connect to a creative mindset in order to build confidence in change, to buffer against burnout, and to leverage individual originality for creative problem solving. Caroline holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, a Certificate of Professional Management, and is a certified Creative Problem Solving and IAM Ambiguity Assessment facilitator. Her experience in business, clinical practice, non profit, research, academia and industry gives her a wide view of the challenges in organizations, and leading others through uncertainty in high stakes environments. She lives in Calgary, Alberta, where her lectures go unheeded by her family. The dog listens, if treats are involved.

Mike Gray (Conference Host) is the Mayor of Radium Hot Springs, BC, and owner of the Horsethief Pub and Choppers Landing Restaurant. Originally from Calgary, Mike once ran a venue called Club Sapien, where he hosted events for the Centre for Inquiry (CFI) Calgary — eventually serving as its Interim Executive Director and later joining the CFI Canada board. These days, he calls the Columbia Valley home with his husband Patrick, three dogs, a cat, a chicken, and a duck. He divides his time between local government, hospitality, and volunteering with humanist and skeptic organizations. Mike joined the BCHA Board in 2026 and has been part of the WeCanReason organizing committee for both 2025 and 2026. He’s an avid fan of science and skepticism podcasts and always up for a good conversation — preferably shared over a pot of tea and a curious mind.
