Lois Edwards - An Appreciation

This summer our own Lois Edwards decided to resign from the management Board of Rocky Mountain Atheists, after years of dedicated service and guidance. If you have attended an RMA event in the past, you have probably either met Lois (pre-Covid) or benefited from her tireless work behind the scenes.

She has been involved with Life Without Religion, Meetup, Zoom, setting Board policy and direction, We Can Reason, webinars, Book Club, networking, Coffee Chat, sponsoring our refugee, Movie Night, representing our society at Atheist Alliance International (AAI) and so much more.

Perhaps most importantly she has been a shining beacon to many, many people within our group as well as individually. There are many reasons Lois has the nickname "Momma Atheist"!!

This event is for anyone who wants to share an appreciation, a funny story, or just to say a heartfelt "Thank You" to Lois for her work. There will be a small presentation to Lois.

Rest assured that while Lois is stepping back a bit and changing her role, she is very much still involved with some events especially LWR. She will continue to work tirelessly for atheism, critical thinking and spreading the fact that we can be 'good without god'.
