The Scenario: The quiet North Yorkshire village of Muscoby seems an unlikely place for anything terrible to happen. You’ve been hired to clear out the dilapidated cottage of its recently incapacitated owner—a simple job complicated by suspicious villagers, unsettling local folklore, and that persistent scratching inside the walls…

The Game: CALL OF CTHULHU is a mystery-horror roleplaying game in which ordinary people investigate strange events, uncover forbidden truths, and struggle to retain their lives and sanity. Investigation and ingenuity matter more than combat—and some things are better escaped than fought.

No previous Call of Cthulhu or roleplaying experience is required.

The Setting & Vibes: Modern British folk horror, rural isolation, local legends, creeping dread, and things moving just beyond the light.

Pop Culture Touchstones: The Wicker Man, The Ritual, Midsomer Murders, and The Conjuring

Content Warnings: Rats and vermin, animal remains, blood and gore, body horror, disease, mental distress, mortal peril, and possible character death

Rating: R

Provided: Dice, pre-generated investigators, player handouts, and rules references. Players will choose an investigator at the table and will be guided through the rules and mechanics as needed.

Please Bring: Your lucky dice and something to write with. Curiosity and a healthy suspicion of scratching noises are also recommended.
