A critical Message from the New Jersey Libertarian Party to the rEVOLution?

Dear Ron Paul Revolutionaries

For those that don't know me please let me introduce myself. I am Lou Jasikoff and I am the chairman for the New Jersey Libertarian Party. I am reaching out to all Ron Paul supporters to help support the Jason Scheurer for Senate ticket this year in New Jersey. Now before we go much further, I know a number of you want to change the Republican party from within, and that of course if fine. What I like you to consider is the Libertarian Party over the next few months for the following reasons;

1. When Ron Paul and his supporters asked Libertarians for help we were there. We were there not because Ron Paul was Republican, but because of the principles he stood for. For many of us, we were on the front lines either at rallies or donating to the cause. Jason Scheurer our Senate candidate this year in New Jersey and countless of Libertarians around the country gave generously or "maxed out" to support the cause and Ron Paul. (easy to confirm). I ask did Zimmer or Lautenberg do the same, or did they support the same establishment candidates we must defeat if real change is to occur.

2. When we were asked to change party affiliation we did. It pained both me and Jason to switch parties but proudly voted for Ron Paul in the primaries. We did it because at the end of the day it does not matter what letter is next to a candidates name, what matters is the ideals and principles of the individual one is voting for.

3. When the Sabrin campaign asked Libertarians to run as part of his ticket we did. Jason was slotted to run, it was only after attending the Mercer County Republican convention did we decide against it. Decided against, because we were not even allowed to address the convention floor. Darren Young a 4 time Libertarian candidate did run on the Sabrin ticket. Once again it was done to advance liberty and not out of allegiance to a political party.

4. When the Asbury Park Press asked what I thought of the Sabrin campaign in a May 22nd interview, I was quoted as follows: His message still resonates with Libertarian leaders. Lou Jasikoff, the party's New Jersey chairman, said the party would consider withdrawing its own Senate candidate if Sabrin wins the Republican nod. "I'm not looking to see whether there's an "L" or "D" or "R" next to their name," Jasikoff said. "It's more important to advance the cause of liberty, and I believe that's what Murray is doing."

5. The Scheurer campaign is gearing up to run the most active campaign ever in the State of New Jersey. Yesterday, the New Jersey Libertarian Party signed a lease to open its first campaign office right on the Atlantic City boardwalk strategically located between the Hilton and Tropicana resorts. Perhaps the highest trafficked location in New Jersey during the summer we are poised to promote the cause of liberty like never before.

In closing, we need your help, want your help, and actively seek your support to advance the principles of Ron Paul and the Libertarian Party. We have a ticket this year that can change politics as we know it today, returning to the people the freedoms guaranteed us by the Constitution. You don't need to change us from within, as we are you already, just different party affiliates. I urge you to look at the Libertarian Party this year, especially the ticket we have here in New Jersey. With your help and support we can accomplish the unimaginable. I know it is possible.

Thank you for your time, and please feel free to contact anytime.
