Social swimming in Oslo

We’re doing a Saturday hangout in Oslo with swimming and/or sauna as a small group.

When we have decided location and plan, you can just meet up, say hi, we go in together, and you can enjoy the place at your own level along with the group.

This is not a class, and please take care of yourself, hydrate, take breaks, and step out if you need to.

Swim within your own ability. If you bring children, they are fully your responsibility.

Who’s welcome:
Anyone who wants a relaxed Saturday activity in Oslo and likes the idea of swimming, sauna, or just doing something social that involves water haha.

We’ll likely speak a mix of English and Norwegian.

When:

Saturday, exact time to be confirmed, likely very roughly around 4 to 7 pm.

I’ll choose the time based on the venue’s opening hours and post a clear meeting time once the location is confirmed.

We’ll usually meet around 10–15 minutes before going in, so people have time to find the group.

Where:

Location is still being confirmed.

I’m choosing between a few Oslo options, such as a public swimming hall or another swim/sauna venue if that fits the day better.

Once the place is locked in, I’ll update this Meetup description and post a pinned comment with:

• exact venue name
• map link
• where we meet before going in
• official link for opening hours, prices, and venue rules
• what to bring, such as towel, lock, swimwear, or anything else the venue requires

If the venue has access control, I’ll try to choose a meeting point that people can find before going through it.

Please check the event again shortly before Saturday, because Meetup does not always notify people when the description changes.

Age and atmosphere:

This depends on the venue.

Some places are normal family swim halls, while other sauna places may have different age rules or booking rules.
I’ll follow whatever the venue publishes and write it clearly once the location is confirmed.

What to bring:

This will depend a bit on the venue, but likely:

• swimwear
• towel
• water bottle
• lock if the venue uses lockers
• card or payment method for entry
• anything else listed on the venue’s official page

Please check the final venue link before coming so you know the latest rules.

Cost:

There is no ticket price from me for this event.
You pay the venue’s normal entry price yourself.

If we choose a bookable sauna, you may need to book your own slot instead. I’ll explain clearly which model applies when the venue is confirmed.

RSVP:

Please keep your RSVP accurate so I can plan a reasonable group size and avoid overcrowding the meeting point.
