Roots and Routes Seattle (for peeps in their 20s and 30s)

Roots and Routes is a vibrant and inclusive hiking group based in Seattle, WA dedicated to connecting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and allies through the beauty of nature. Our mission is to foster a sense of community adventure, and wellness among individuals in their 20s to 30s who share a passion for the great outdoors.

Our Goals:
• Explore Nature: We organize regular hikes and outdoor activities that allow members to experience the diverse landscapes and natural wonders around
• Build Community: Our group is a safe and welcoming space where everyone can form meaningful connections, share experiences, and support each other.
• Promote Wellness: We believe in the healing power of nature and aim to promote physical and mental well-being through our activities
• Celebrate Diversity: While our focus is on BIPOC, we are inclusive of everyone who wants to join us in celebrating the richness of our diverse backgrounds and cultures.

By participating in hikes organized by this group, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
• This is an informal, volunteer-led group and not a professional guiding service.
• All hikes are undertaken at your own risk. Hiking involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, injury, falls, wildlife encounters, weather conditions, and getting lost.
• You are responsible for your own safety, health, equipment, and preparedness.
• The group organizers and hike leaders assume no liability or responsibility for any injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during or as a result of participation.
• Participants are expected to assess their own fitness level and ability before joining a hike.
• In case of emergency, you are responsible for your own medical and evacuation costs.
