What we’re about
Just another social group for those interested in making new friends while exploring everything that makes Portland, Oregon one of the best places to live!
Follow us on IG @rosecitycultureclub for updates and a catalog of our adventures! If you are posting tag us with an @ or use the #rosecitycultureclub and it should make it easier to connect in the future!
• Low pressure hangs
• Make friends or network
• Meetups will vary as this community grows
• Types of events will be highlighted
Why? We love living in Portland and the last four years have shuffled a lot of people's social groups, invited new transplants to the city, and changed the scene for what to do here. The City still has a lot to offer with new events happening all the time but it means nothing without a vibrant connected community to share it with.
• We will pick locations based on the type of hang to match capacity
• Suggestions are always welcome
• Looking for other people interested in being organizers
• Here to have fun and hope you are to!
Note: we are all responsible for a safe environment and the hosts cannot be held accountable or liable for negative interactions between attendees. If you experience or witness any situations jeopardizing safety or comfort do not hesitate to let us know. These concerns will be taken seriously and we will exercise that ban button or reconsider how we organize these Meetups.

## LEGENDARY MAKERS MARKET RETURNS JULY 12-13, 2025 IN BEAVERTON AS OREGON’S LARGEST ASIAN AMERICAN-CENTERED EVENT
BEAVERTON, OREGON — Legendary Makers Market: An Asian American Night Market returns this summer to Beaverton, Oregon, as the state’s largest Asian American-centered event. Presented by Asian American Town with support from the City of Beaverton, the event takes place July 12–13, 2025, at The Round in Beaverton (12600 SW Crescent St, Beaverton, OR 97005).
Now in its third edition, Legendary Makers Market returns with a more focused vision following last summer’s event, which drew over 35,000 attendees — nearly tripling the record-breaking debut held in partnership with the Portland Night Market in 2023.
Legendary Makers Market continues to celebrate the richness and diversity of Asian American culture across art, food, performance, craft, wellness, and community storytelling. This year’s event will feature the largest collection of unique Asian food offerings ever seen in Oregon, organized into three distinct food zones to ensure a welcoming and convenient experience for all attendees:
- A 21+ friendly food and beverage zone featuring a curated outdoor bar experience by SakéOne, alongside DJs and curated vibes provided by A Beat Happening, creating a vibrant, social atmosphere for adults to enjoy food, drinks, and music.
- A family-focused food pop-up area with comfortable sit-down seating, conveniently located next to the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, where all youth and family activities will take place. Programming will be led by Junebug Play and Learning Space, joining from Ridgefield, Washington, and supported by Cool Storytellers Collective, bringing playful, culturally conscious activities for children and families.
- A dedicated craft food zone, highlighting specialty culinary products from across the country, including Mama Lam's, traveling from New York to share their signature Southeast Asian chili sauces and curry pastes, as well as local favorites like Pan's Mushroom Jerky, a nationally recognized plant-based snack brand rooted right here in Oregon.
Thanks to support from Explore Tualatin Valley, attendees will also enjoy an incredible lineup of outdoor performances throughout the weekend. Programming will include everything from traditional cultural showcases by groups such as the Jade Dance Team to performances by local comedians and emerging artists.
Additional highlights include:- Five community panels, that include topics such as Decoding Asian Beauty with Beatrice Van, a Panel with Media Workshop led by the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) Portland Chapter, were designed to equip community members with tools to engage with media effectively, and more!
- a dedicated wellness space and art therapy workshop facilitated by Yellow Chair Collective, a mental health and counseling group centered on Asian American communities, with members across North America.
- Curated vendor zones led by returning community organizers Sarah Kling (Let’s Be Friends Market) and Arev Tovmasyan, along with new additions to the team supporting vendor coordination and bringing fresh energy to this year’s market.
“Legendary Makers Market is more than an event — it’s a statement about belonging, creativity, and the future of our communities,” said Tom Sollitt, Creator of Asian American Town. “We’re proud to continue building a space where families, entrepreneurs, artists, and community members can all connect — whether that’s through food, storytelling, wellness, or simply creating space to be seen.”
Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty added, “We are proud to welcome Legendary Makers Market back to Beaverton. This event reflects our city’s commitment to inclusion and the incredible richness of our diverse communities.”***
