What we’re about
We welcome you and thank you for your interest in learning more about the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC.
Perhaps you have already explored the vast sea of metaphysical and self-help books, programs, lectures and seminars. You may have found yourself wondering how to make sense of it all -- how to put it all together in a way that's practical and truly relevant to you. Yes, you can acquire a lot of information from books, lectures, and classes. You may even discover some very useful techniques for improving certain aspects of your life. Yet, this approach to self-improvement is always incomplete because most books, seminars and study groups have a limited focus such as personal prosperity, improving relationships, meditation, spiritual attunement, or developing psychic abilities. Focusing on one area of study doesn't provide balanced development.
The Rosicrucian system provides a foundation that ties together all of the different aspects of metaphysical study and demonstrates their interconnectedness. The Rosicrucian Order provides a systematic approach to the study of higher wisdom that empowers you to find the answers to your questions about the workings of the universe, the interconnectedness of all life, your higher purpose, and how it all fits together. The Rosicrucian teachings contain practical exercises and experiments that allow you to demonstrate for yourself the principles presented in the lessons and to access your own source of inner wisdom and guidance.
Awaken your inner faculties - those attributes of higher consciousness that reside within your being. The inspiration and creativity which result are not dependent on any external influences or personalities.
Whether you are currently a member of the Rosicrucian Order or just interested in finding out more about us, all of our meetings posted here in Meetup are open to the public. We are a dedicated group of individuals that enjoy discussing a variety of topics and answering any questions you may have about the Order. Join us as we exchange our thoughts and ideas or just come and listen in! We all can learn so much from each other.
We currently offer one open meeting each month: on the 3rd Thursday each month. Check each one posted here in Meetup for our discussion/workshop topics relating to Rosicrucian teachings/principles.

The Modern Essene movement has several sources of inspiration. As one of the leading scholars of modern religious movements put it, “Essene material is directly derivative of two occult best-sellers – The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, by Levi H. Dowling; and The Mystical Life of Jesus, by Rosicrucian author H. Spencer Lewis.”
In addition to these, two documents which are particularly honored in modern Essene work are The Essene Gospel of Peace, and The Gospel of the Holy Twelve. Unfortunately, neither ancient manuscript has yet been presented for the kind of scholarly study that the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag-Hammadi Library have enjoyed, however, these texts are a source of inspiration to the women and men of the modern Essene community.
THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE
In 1881, The Rev. Gideon Ouseley came into possession of what is said to be an original Gospel manuscript, taken from the Middle East to Tibet by Essenes to preserve it. Rev. Ouseley published his translation of this work as The Gospel of the Holy Twelve, and it has also been compared to the lost Gospel of the Nazarenes. Here is a selection from this work.
