What we're about

Welcome and thank you for your interest in learning more about the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. If you have ever asked the questions: Who am I? What is my purpose? What can I accomplish in life? How do I chart my own course in life? Is there more to this wonderful universe than I see around me? What is self? These are the great questions the brave and insightful have always sought answers to. The Rosicrucian teachings enable people to find themselves, turn their lives, and influence the universe. We are Rosicrucian students, and seekers devoted to exploring inner wisdom and the meaning of life.

We offer an ancient time-tested system of study and experimentation which reveals the underlying principles of the universe. Our method offers practical tools applicable to all aspects of life. The Rosicrucian teachings allow individuals to direct their own lives, experience inner peace, and leave their mark on humanity. Learn how to bring into physical manifestation the life you’ve dreamed of, whether its happiness and peace in your personal life, or success in your business. The Rosicrucian studies give you a specific knowledge of metaphysics, mysticism, psychology parapsychology, philosophy, and science not taught by conventional educational systems or traditional religions. Learn techniques for relaxation and meditation, how to use visualization as a tool to achieve your goals, and much more.

We are an active and dedicated group of Rosicrucians in the Austin area. We offer public open meetings at convenient Austin area locations. Presentations are given by active members on diverse metaphysical topics from a Rosicrucian perspective. Find out what the Rosicrucians are all about!

Rosicrucian Order Weekly November Teleconference on Wednesdays

Wednesday, November 3, 1:30 pm
Meditation in Depth VI

Meditation is the key and central practice of spirituality and for the mastery of life. Much progress can be made when meditation is practiced daily. Can meditation help me be less anxious? What is the purpose and meaning of the successive steps in the Celestial Sanctum Meditation exercise described in Liber 777? What are some of the bodily sensations that can occur during meditation? What is the meditation technique described in the late medieval spiritual classic The Cloud of Unknowing? Is it better to have three meditation periods spread over the course of the day or one long meditation period each day? These common, and not-so-common, questions and more will be covered. Join Hugh McCague as we continue to explore how meditation makes for the most direct and sure wise counsel in our daily lives and increases our well-being and capacity for service.

Wednesday, November 10, 1:30 pm

A Journey of Sacred Space and Sound

Take a journey through ancient and modern times, across mystical landscapes, and into stunning caverns, soaring cathedrals, and modern structures as Cheri Gandy leads us in exploring the interplay of space, sound, and the sacred. Sacred spaces, activated by sacred sound, are around us everywhere. Sound, and specifically our voices, is one way that we create our environments and give them meaning. Exploring this aspect of the numinous gives us new ways to express the divinity within ourselves to enact goodness in the world.
