What we’re about
You want to give back, but you don’t have time for another standing commitment.
We get it. That’s why Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary is launching Rotary Lite — a flexible, hands-on volunteer group for people who want to help their community, one project at a time.
No weekly meetings. No dues. No long-term obligations.
Just meaningful impact, great people, and projects that make a visible difference right here in the San Francisco East Bay.
What We Do
That’s up to you! Ideas for projects and social events come from people like you.
Rotary clubs traditionally engage in a wide range of community projects, such as:
- Restoring parks, cleaning up creeks, and planting trees
- Packing food for local families
- Supporting youth and seniors
- Responding to community needs as they arise
You’ll help decide what projects we take on together or separately.
How It Works
- Join our Meetup group.
- Get notified about upcoming social gatherings and service projects — both in-person and online.
- Choose what fits your schedule.
- Show up, make a difference, and connect with like-minded East Bay professionals.
You’ll enjoy the support of Lamorinda Sunrise Rotarians — people who care deeply about community but understand that life is busy.

Is this Meetup Group a Rotary Club? If I join this Meetup, am I a Rotary member?
No, but depending on how events unfold, you might become a Rotary member sometime in the future.
This Meetup group is an extension of Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary, bringing together community-focused professionals who may not have the time to commit to traditional Rotary clubs. Being part of this Meetup doesn’t make you a Rotary member, and there’s no pressure to join a Rotary club. If enough members enjoy the projects and community, we can look into options for creating a more formal organization, all while keeping things low-cost and flexible for busy professionals.
