Dig In for Youth Homes: Help Launch a New Park at Cherry Lane
Details
Come get your hands dirty for a great cause.
Rotary is leading a hands-on volunteer project at Youth Homes’ Cherry Lane facility, where an abandoned orchard is being transformed into a future park for clients and staff. Before landscaping and new park features can begin, we need to remove the old orchard irrigation system and cap it off.
That means we’ll be digging, pulling up old irrigation lines, clearing the way, and making real progress in just one volunteer shift. No special skills are required—just a willingness to help, a little energy, and a good attitude.
We have been working with Youth Homes for several years now, and they do really important work for foster youth and young adults in the Bay Area. They understand how trauma affects people and focus on providing support that helps with healing and feeling safe. Their services help young people build confidence, self-worth, coping skills, and a sense of hope for the future.
This project is a chance to support that mission in a very practical way: helping create an outdoor space where clients and staff can gather, breathe, reset, and enjoy being outside.
