If you would like to join an absolute beginner lesson, we have new lessons starting in September.

Absolute Beginner Social Ballroom Dance Lessons

$10 per person
We'll rotate between 6 beginner ballroom dances- rumba, waltz, east coast swing, hustle, cha-cha, and foxtrot.

No partner needed- This dance class will focus on helping absolute beginner social ballroom dancers learn and solidify foundational skills. We’ll listen to a variety of music of the focus dances to get a real feel for how to determine if a song has that kind of rhythm. We’ll practice the basic for a bit to really start getting it into our head and feet.
We’ll practice good frame plus lead and follow technique, then we’ll add an extra step or two to give the new leaders confidence on the dance floor!

We’ll work on two to three dances each week. We’ll continually rotate through the 6 beginner dances- waltz, rumba, east coast swing, hustle, foxtrot and cha-cha. We may add merengue and salsa to the mix, according to participants' interests.

Join us to learn a new language and skill that helps prevent mental decline.

Practice your new found skills at our monthly Beginner Ballroom Dance with music by DJ Joe on the 2nd Friday, 6:30-9:30 pm, with 2 mini lessons by Joe-- $15 per person.

Absolute Beginner Line Dance Lessons with Jeanette's Line Jammers

This drop-in dance class is especially for absolute beginners. We’ll start at the beginning of line dance and learn 1-2 steps at a time, while learning absolute beginner line dances for application. Dancers who come consistently for 10 weeks can learn up to 15-20 dances and 10+ line dance steps and movements.
