Museum(s) Visit on a Hot Summer Day

Details

There are 2 art museum exhibits I want to see, and others have also mentioned, so thought I would see if enough people in the group would want to make a fun excursion together on a Sunday afternoon. This is a perfect thing to do on a hot summer day, and I picked a Sunday for those who work.
First up: Arlington Museum of Art, 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington TX - M. C. Escher exhibit (https://arlingtonmuseum.org/). I have always been fascinated by Escher's art and this is the largest traveling expedition of his work. UPDATED INFO: We can purchase our tickets once at the museum and if we have at least 10 people, we will get the group rate ($12); otherwise Adult $18; senior (55+) and military $15. There was mention of a $10 parking lot behind the museum although it appears there is some parking at the museum itself, but it's difficult to tell for sure. This new location is in the Globe Life Field/AT&T stadium area. Thankfully, I remembered to check the Rangers schedule and altered the original date I had decided on!
Second up: Amon Carter Museum of Art, 3501 Camp Bowie Blvd., Ft. Worth TX - Richard Avedon exhibit (https://www.cartermuseum.org/). The museum is displaying 40 works by Richard Avedon so with our interest in photography, this is a must see exhibit for us. There will also be other exhibits to see if we are interested, but this will be our main goal. Admission to the Carter is free, as is parking. The website mentions construction on Camp Bowie until 2026, so be sure and consult the website for any updates on how to navigate to the parking area.
Both museums welcome and encourage non-flash photography so we can shoot to our heart's content. No tripods, of course, and there might be an occasional piece that requests no photos, but generally, we will have no restrictions on shooting.
Third up: LET'S GO EAT! Let's head just up the road to Chuy's, one of the more iconic TexMex chains, for dinner before heading back home. The address is 2701 W. Seventh St., Ft. Worth.
Logistics: If you want to carpool/caravan from Rowlett, meet at the Rowlett DART Station parking lot in the area near the corner of Martin and Industrial at 12:30 pm. If you want to meet at the Arlington Museum of Art, plan to be there about 1:15 - 1:30 pm. It shows about 45 minute drive from Rowlett and, hopefully, traffic shouldn't be too bad on a Sunday afternoon.
We should plan to be at this museum no more than an hour and a half, which should put us heading to the Amon Carter Museum about 2:45-3:00. This should put us at Amon Carter about 3:15-3:30 at the latest. The museum closes at 5:00 pm so that gives us at least 1.5 hours at this museum. Chuy's is just up the road about 5 minutes so we should be arriving there no later than 5:15 pm. If we allow a couple of hours for dinner, we should be back home well before dark. As always, these times are guesstimates since we never know how long we might spend at each location.
Hope some of you want to join me on this "art excursion" and look forward to seeing you!
