Street: People, Places, and Things: Mel Di Giacomo
This month lets practice some of the techniques of Mel Di Giacomo.
Prior to the meeting, please review the following information:
Mel's portfolio, especially the street portraiture: https://meldigiacomo.photoshelter.com/index/G0000grsFXHKYCUE
Mel's Everything I do is street, especially the first 30 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDOvCqu8Ao8&t
Be prepared to shoot in Mel's style.
We will be heading to the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian bridge for engaging people on the bridge with a great view of down town Dallas and the Mararet Hunt Bridge.
We will take the Dart Blue Line from Rowlett to the West End station downtown. We will then walk to the Rosa Parks Terminal (about 5 minutes on foot) and walk to the end of the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian bridge. We will be walking from east to west on the bridge. Although you can grab some great candid shots, the location lends itself to engaging folks and getting portraits of them against the Margaret Hunt Bridge or Downtown Dallas.
Like on all walks, always check back in for details before attending. I recommend using the Meetup application on your phone.
