Second Thursday Daytime Photo Walk

For April, let's head to Chandor Gardens in Weatherford; we visited here a few years ago, but I think we need another visit! Hopefully, the gardens will be in vibrant springtime glory. This is a beautiful botanic garden.
If you want to carpool or caravan from Rowlett, meet at the Rowlett DART Station parking lot in the area near Martin and Industrial at 9:00 am. If you want to meet at the destination, plan to meet about 10:45 or so at Chandor Gardens located at 711 W. Lee St. Weatherford TX. It's about an hour and a half from Rowlett, but we know traffic issues can delay. The admission to Chandor Gardens is $5.00; they may have reciprocal agreements with Dallas Arboretum members, but I always figure for that cost, I'd rather go ahead and pay and help support them. No cash or American Express cards are accepted so bring another card.

There are TWO popular botanic gardens in Weatherford and they both start with a "C" and people frequently mix them up - be sure you go to Chandor Gardens, NOT Clark Gardens!
Let's plan to shoot at the Gardens for approximately 3 hours or until everyone returns to our meetup spot; we will then head for a late lunch at R&K Cafe on Santa Fe located at 1802 Santa Fe Drive in Weatherford. We could be heading to lunch as late as 1:45 so be sure and eat a hearty breakfast and/or bring a snack to tide you over.
Regular walkabout lens should be adequate for this walk or bring a macro or other specialty lens if you want to play some.

1. Weather is always a factor, so there is always the possibility of a last minute cancellation!
2. Please don't sign up unless you intend to go, and, if you find you aren't able to go after signing up, please change your RSVP so we aren't waiting for you.
3. Please sign up if you are going so that we know to expect and wait for you.
4. Please comment whether you will meet in Rowlett or at Chandor Gardens so we know where to look for you.
5. Please comment as to whether you need a ride or can provide a ride so we can try and accommodate everyone.
6. Please have the Meetup app on your phone as that is where any communications will be posted during the walk to alert everyone of any changes, notifications, or updates, or you can alert everyone if you are running late, ask where to find us, let us know where you are, etc.
