Second Thursday Daytime Photo Walk

For March, let's head to Athens TX! We visited the East Texas Arboretum there a few years ago, but I don't believe we really visited the city itself.
If you want to carpool or caravan from Rowlett, please be at the Rowlett DART Station parking lot near the corner of Martin and Industrial at 9:00 am.
If you want to meet in Athens, please plan to meet at the Henderson County Courthouse at 100 E. Tyler Street at about 10:30 am. Let's meet at the corner of E. Tyler and N. Prairieville Streets by the Courthouse.
We will shoot around town for about an hour and a half and then drive over to Tia Juanita's Fish Camp at 1900 E. Tyler St. - this is a Cajun Mexican restaurant so should be something for everyone and has good reviews. We should be eating about 12:15-12:30 or so, so not real late.
After lunch, if anyone is interested, we will head over to the East Texas Arboretum at 1610 Patterson Road in Athens. Not sure how pretty it will be in March, but there could be some early spring interest there; if nothing else, we will be among nature. The cost to get in is $8 for adults and $4 for seniors (60+) and veterans.
For lenses, a walkaround lens and maybe a long lens for the Arboretum as there might be some birds or wildlife.

Now, for some requests and warnings:
1. Weather is always a factor, especially in winter and early spring, so there is always the possibility of a last minute cancellation!
2. Please don't sign up unless you intend to go, and, if you find you aren't able to go after signing up, please change your RSVP so we aren't waiting for you.
3. Please sign up if you are going so that we know to expect and wait for you.
4. Please comment whether you will meet in Rowlett or in Athens so we know where to look for you.
5. Please comment as to whether you need a ride or can provide a ride so we can try and accommodate everyone.
6. Please have the Meetup app on your phone as that is where any communications will be posted during the walk to alert everyone of any changes, notifications, or updates, or you can alert everyone if you are running late, ask where to find us, let us know where you are, etc.
