Welcome to the Rancho Palos Verdes/San Pedro Rollers! We are group of fun-loving women who enjoy getting together once a month to chat, snack, and of course, play Bunco. If you do not live in Palos Verdes or San Pedro you need to be willing to go there to play.
If you've never played Bunco before, don't worry! The only skills you need to possess are the ability to count to 21 and laugh. We can teach you the basics but it's mostly the luck of the dice. The beauty of Bunco is that after each round, you move tables and switch partners, thereby getting to chat with everyone in the room by the time the night is over. There's no age requirement/limit other than being 21+ since we do occasionally have alcohol; I think we all have something to offer a women's group at every age!
About our group... Our group will meet the fourth Wednesday of each month. We will rotate hosts each month, so for a group of 12 members each person will host at their home once a year. We will potluck each month, so please bring a snack and/or beverage to share with the group. This is a women-only group.
Members are required to provide a photo with their profile and at least a first name, remember we are meeting at private homes and we want to know who to expect to see walking up the driveway!
"Buy In" for our Bunco night is $10.00, (CASH ONLY!) This is our prize money and we break it down into these categories: Most Wins, Most Buncos, Most Baby Buncos, and Biggest Loser. Please bring EXACT change to the Bunco nights. Each host will be responsible for a small hostess gift ($5-$10 maximum) for our Traveling Dice prize. Our "official" group Bunco rules can be found in Files, under the More drop down menu. There is also a $1.00 "pay to play fee" that is used to cover monthly Meet Up fees.
This group is based in Rancho Palos Verdes and San Pedro, so all members must reside in this general area to make travel easy on us all.
Membership and Attendance
We consider a member active who has RSVP'ed to a get together at least once within a 6 month period. Or looked at our page at least once in a 12 month period. Members will be removed if they have been inactive longer than that, but are welcome to rejoin. Starting in 2017, we will be taking attendance in order to address no shows. Please be courteous to other members by updating your RSVP, especially if we have a full meetup for an event and have members on the Waitlist. I can not stress enough how important an RSVP is to a Meetup group, especially a Bunco group where we need a specific number of players. If any member has two 'no show' without changing a "Yes" RSVP to a "No" RSVP, the member will, unfortunately, be dropped from our group.
