Silverton Hills and Rollers

Details
Cooler weather is coming the week of July 21.
This one of my favorite routes out of the town of Silverton. It is not the full loop, but an out-and-back to the first overlook. The mileage and cumulative altitude is about the same as the loop, but with less traffic.
Expect hills and rollers throughout this route.
This is not a paceline or competitive ride, but one for folks who enjoy climbing.
Be sure review the route below:
https://ridewithgps.com/trips/280697897
The ride is approximately 32 miles with 2800' of climbing, with a climb at the start. The entire ride is on two lane rural roads without bike lanes. In recent rides along the route, I have not encountered any log trucks, but always a possibility. If you do not feel comfortable with the conditions, please do not sign up for the ride.
Bring two water bottles, and a power snack to have at the halfway point at the overlook. There are no commercial facilities along the way.
IF YOU SIGN UP FOR THIS RIDE, SEND ME YOUR MOBILE NUMBER FOR COMMUNICATION IN THIS RURAL AREA: Marcy @ 503-539-9226.
Optional coffee in Silverton after the ride.
Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. No earbuds.
Carry a spare tube, tire repair kit, and small pump or tire inflater. Having AAA in rural areas is helpful in emergencies.
Obey traffic laws and represent us well!
Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following: Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.
