What we're about

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN THE MEMBERS AND FRIENDS OF RUDOLF STEINER HOUSE AND COME ALONG TO OUR WELL ATTENDED EVENTS

Spiritual Science, also called Anthroposophy, is a philosophy founded by Dr. Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), an initiate of the twentieth century. It is a modern spiritual path that cherishes and respects the freedom of each individual. He explained through many books and thousands of lectures that the spiritual world is objectively and intellectually accessible by direct experience through the inner development of the human being. This is achieved by cultivating a form of thinking independent of sensory experience. The striving for this capacity and the corresponding spiritual development can be greatly assisted through a scientific study of the spiritual nature of humanity and the universe. Spiritual Science aims to attain in its study of spiritual experience the precision and clarity sought by the natural sciences in their investigations of the physical world which surrounds us.

Spiritual Science is thus not only the spiritual path to freedom, it is also a scientific study of the spiritual knowledge gained on this path. For Rudolf Steiner spiritual science was the path that could " lead the spiritual in the human being to the spiritual in the universe. " It is a path that has inspired many cultural and practical innovations - in education (Steiner/Waldolf schools), in agriculture (biodynamic farming), in medicine, architecture, science and the arts (Eurythmy & Speech).

Everyone is welcome to join our lectures, seminars, workshops and groups which take place at Rudolf Steiner House, 35 Park Road London NW1 6XT, a short walk from Baker Street underground station.
